Privacy
How Echosphere handles your data. Last updated 17 October 2026.
Echosphere carries no advertising, sells nothing, and has no third-party trackers. The advertising identifier is stripped out of both the iOS and Android builds at compile time, so the app cannot read it even if a bundled library asks for it.
What is collected
- Account details — your name and email address, so you can sign in and so your topics follow you between devices.
- A user identifier — an internal account ID that ties your topics, saves and echoes to you.
- A device identifier — used to deliver notifications and to keep sessions working.
- Product interaction — which stories you open, save and echo. This is what makes recommendations work; it is the core of the product.
- Crash and performance data — collected through Sentry so faults can be found and fixed.
- Support correspondence — anything you send by email or through the contact form on this site.
What is not done with it
- It is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- It is not sold, rented, or shared with data brokers.
- It is not used to build an advertising profile, because there is no advertising.
- Nothing you read, save or echo is published. Echosphere has no public profiles, no followers and no comment sections, so there is no audience for your activity.
Who else processes data
A small number of services are needed to run the app: Sentry for crash and performance reporting, Firebase for basic usage analytics with advertising identifiers disabled, Apple and Google where you choose their sign-in, and Formspree, which delivers messages sent through the contact form on this website. Each receives only what it needs for that job.
Publishers and links
Every article opens at its original publisher. Once you follow a link you are on that publisher's site, under their privacy policy, not this one.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and its associated app data from inside the app: You → Advanced → Account data → Delete your account. This removes your account along with the saves, topics and reading activity attached to it. If you would rather it was done for you, email info@echosphereapp.com and it will be handled.
Our account deletion page sets out both routes in full, and exactly what is removed, what is kept and for how long.
This website
These pages set no cookies and run no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives the request as part of serving them. The contact form sends only the name, email address and message you type into it.
Children
Echosphere is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
